Holidays are here again....
#1
Look, I've just got back from holiday in the Canaries and I'm feeling a little low. I want to book up another holiday quick, so that I've got something to look forward to (sad I know).
Questions are:
I want somewhere nice, warm to hot, not Benidorm, C-D Sol or Ibiza esq, that caters for my 8 yr old as well. Nov-ish time.
1.Where's the 'in' place to go?
2.Where's a good travel site, that's cheap too!
3.Is it better to book the flight and find a hotel myself or is there a better travel agent?
4.Where are you lot going then?
Thanks
F

Floyd,
Just booked my 3 week trip to Florida for later in the year.
As far as cheap places, I used Virgin Travelstore (.com is web address), they are owned by Virgin but discount holidays. I think for any Virgin brochure holiday, they will discount by 5%, but there are some deals to be had on flights only, they don't just do Virgin atlantic, but others too.
For example, we're flying premium Economy, which is Virgin's one up from Economy, (bigger seats, more room, dedicated check-in etc) and the Virgin Atlantic site is quoting £1402 per seat, but we got them for £757 each!!
Only other tip I could suggest is getting a private villa brochure from somewher like WH Smiths, and booking accomodation direct, and then flights seperately - always works out cheaper on Florida, but never tried any different countries, so not sure the same applies.

I've done Florida already but the 'ring sounds good. I could dress it up as a touring holiday. I'd better not tell you lot when I'm going or you'll turn up as well and embarress me
Good tip about the villa stuff, I will also check out the Virgins bit, Oh er.
