I still remember the time when I was on some sort of Thunderlooper at Lightwater Valley. Some kid had got onto it as some sort of bet after drinking loads of stuff. Needless to say he lost the bet and threw up Still, there is justice in the world. He spewed at the start of the loop going up, and caught it full face as he came down

(there were still a fair few other non willing participants however )

The one at Alton towers is called Ripsaw. If you stay in the hotel you get an early ride pass and they let you in half an hour before everyone else. They do this kind of sequence. Later in the day it is a much shorter ride. The water fountains make it more interesting though.

This is the end of the ride. The water jet hits you right in the face and you are strapped in so tightly you can't move your head.

It is a kiddies ride in comparison to oblivion though

They dangle you ver the edge looking down 200ft into a dark hole in the ground, let you hang there while you change your mind and then let you go. Straight down.

This is actually a fantastic ride, I have been on it loads of times, we have it at the beer fest in stuttgart every year, the best bit is whan the driver lowers you forward and holds you at 90 degrees to the ground so you are resting on the harness and shakes the ride abit before releasing the brake and you spin round whilst the ride moves forward and spins round. Not the best ride if you are full of beer though

There were newer and better rides this year, one was like a spinning pendulum, It was awsome but again not a ride for the beer filled individual

Soon there is going to be a night at Alton Towers where you can go on certain rides in the dark

You can on Blackpool Pleasure beach. Stays open til 10pm and the queues are really short. Some top rides there now

Is that all Oblivion does = meh.

The OP ride I've seen similar but each arm is independent as well as being able to roll the "car". That was pretty awesome.
