Unhappy Help! - child has drawn on the screen of our LCD TV

Out of the room for a second or so, it is a soft tipped colouring pencil?!?!?!***%$£

Any ideas as to the best way to clean it?

assuming it hasnt scratched or scored the screen, go buy some screen cleaner, we have a foam type that we use at work.

Check it suitable for LCD though, you may want to check its compatible with the manufacturer.

Sorry but Thats why people mount them on the wall at a suitable height

Agreed though, unless its scored the screen etc I think you'll be ok with a microfibre cloth or monitor wipes.

try a good quality glass cleaner with the tele switched off and unplugged. Get rid of the static first and it should clean ok. Failing that monitor cleaning cloth or spray with a soft lint free cloth. Working on a computer all day and we use the latter.

You gotta love 'em..... Well, sometimes anyway!

As mentioned above, if they haven't scratched it, it should come off ok.

Time to mount it a bit higher on the wall me thinks.

It's recommended in some places just to use a lint free cloth, dampened with a little water, if not strong enough add a bit vinegar, but not to use a general glass cleaner.

I honestly don't know if I would laugh or cry if I walked into a scene like that.
What did you say when you saw it? Or are they not your kids?

White spirit will get rid of most pen, even permenant markers - just use it on a soft cloth and gently rub at the pen until its all gone.

get a good screen clean product, i use a non branded yoke you can get from Richer Sounds belfast and its pretty damn slick and getting anything and everything off.

but most impressively it has a wee soft bristled brush to get into the edges

Thumbs up

Thanks chaps,

Phew, found the cloth that came with the tv, spent half hour or so carefully going over the screen and it is fine.

Hank, mein got! they certainly made a mess, my little drama in comparison pales into insignificance.

If you also put the cloth over the mouth of the child responsible for half an hour or so, the problem won't reoccur

PS for the InfractoDaleks, this is a JOKE
