What is the weight of the container, and what is the density of the fluid?

it'll be (4/5)/25+rd(1/5)/25+ container weight, where rd is the relatve density of the fluid that isn't the 4/5 water bit. Bet this works out about 25KG anyway though

Surely it's - ((4/5) x 25 ) + (rd x ((1/5) x 25)) + container weight

wont matter because you will resolve all your *ing and /ing according to the brackets before applting the +ing. The other brackets are to clarify if it is (4/5)*25 which is 20 or 4/(5*25) which is 0.32.... can I just add.......

p.s. - but is does have to be at 1 atm

p.s..s

Very true, water is only 1.000kg/l at 15.6C.

But you had

(4/5)/25 = 0.032
+
rd(1/5)/25 = rd(0.008) which even if the extra product is plutonium, would mean the entire contents of the drum would weigh less than a couple of mars bars.

My point was the intermediate /s should be *s which you updated in the second post

50 litres. You asked about 25 litres not 50.

Dont worry though I'm sure somebody will be along soon to work out

what 25 X 2 is for you

i figured it easier to ask about 25 as i was unsure at the time how many barrels i wanted to send, and it looks like i might have been right judging by the "star trek" response

You're overly complicating it.
It will be 20kg+5*rd+containor weight. (well, twice as much now )

Why mess around with 1/5ths when you know it's 20L of water and 5Litres of the other stuff.

Isn't water 1Kg/L at ISO conditions, which I thought was 20DegsC?

For clarity... we are talking about these containers being located on planet earth and not some other planet with different gravitational forces?
