Anyone on here use Disabled Badges
When NOT entitled to?
Borrowing mummies or daddies maybe?
I get really fed up seeing some chav park in a disabled car parking spot - put up a blue badge and jump out the car and RUN to the lifts!!!

That 'chav' might be on their way to collect someone who is disabled and the owner of the blue badge - have you waited around to find out?!?!?

I always get some frowning looks when I pull up at a disabled spot ,as if i shouldnt be in there in the Scoob ,used to be the same in the Evo.
Even had someone try to block me into getting into a disabled spot once, he soon moved when I just kept going though .
Thing is if they actually looked at my windscreen they would see my disabled badges that are always on view.
It usually stops them in their tracks when the wheelchair comes out though..

They'll no doubt be on jobseekers and disability for athritis or something. Probably was their badge.
I'm like Olly though, get some funny looks as i have to collect the mrs who is a blue badge holder from work and apparently disabled people don't drive subarus (except we have a wagon in case we need to get a wheelchair in)
durrr.

How many times have I been hounded by an oap blowing their horn and waving a blue badge in a fit of range that usually is only seen displayed by a toddler. Honestly, the rage some of these people display is quite comical.
I'm not sure what it is, but it seems they think its a "old people's parking pass". So if the person using one doesn't look old, they aren't disabled.
Best one is my mum's partner who has a replacement knee....who has on one occasion, not long after the op (me driving) dropped his trousers infront of an well aged and enthustastic complainee so he could see the scar....well, that shut him up!
No apology either...and he walked off looking perfectly "able" despite his old age
....anyhow I couldn't stop laughing for the next half hour

My former employer parked his MKIV Supra in a diabled bay and was accosted:
"You can't park there, that bay is for disabled people" said the helpful passer-by.
"Yes, and that's my ******* wheelchair in the backseat" he replied, before pulling it out, putting it together and hoisting himself into it.

Just because someone has a "souped" up car doesnt mean they arent disabled! My mate is Paraplegic and he has a 'pimped' out M3 and X5.. I bet loads of people look at his cars and think its some chav.

Lecturer at my old college used to have a lotus elise which he always parked n one of the 2 disabled bays. Didnt seem to be a thing wrong with him & their not the easiest cars to get out of for the more able bodied person never mind some 1 suposedly disabled.
Used to really annoy me, one of lads on my course who was in a wheel chair had a hour drive to college every morning so he was never there on time to get one of the disabled bays & usually had to park in the over spill gravel car park. Not good for moving a wheel chair across.

My mate has bought his Girlfreinds Grandads car off him (which he gets on disability) complete with badge.
So he gets a brandnew car for very little a week and can park it any where.
Doenst bother me to much I just park in the cloeset parking bay to where I need to be.

I have a badge in the car, but it's for my GF so no I don't use it unless she's with me. If I used it without her being there it's actually a criminal offence, whereas if I just parked in a disabled place without displaying it at all I'd just get a parking fine.
Worst thing is as mentioned above, we get horrible looks from 'old people' who clearly think a blonde in her late 20's clearly can't qualify, then when they see the badge we get nasty "you were lucky this time" looks from them.
My GF has had 4 hospital appointments this week, so when picking her up I've had to run the gauntlet of accusing stares as I park in a disabled bay and go into the hospital to collect her.
I'm starting to harden to it now, but I'm pretty sure at least 1 person has keyed my car (on the boot) as a result of them thinking I'm swinging it.

He bought it by way of paying the amount of Motability to the grandad in lieu of what the grandad loses every week does he?
If the above is correct then your mate needs eliminating from society followed by yourself if you have no problem with parking in a disabled space.

Should they not put special fat bastid spaces at the far end of the carpark.... Would be doing said fatty a favour by getting them to do some excercise, leaving the spaces close to the doors for people who really need them

Apparently they are tightening up the rules for blue badges.
New rules for Blue Badge holders
My stepmother is disabled and has a blue badge so I really hate it when people who misuse the badges or the disabled spaces.

How does that work then, the car is in effect, only hired. You will never actually own the car.

I used to have my old nan's badge, orange in those days with no pics. Then I used my father's one.
Used to park anywhere I wanted, but badges dont work in Westminister :-(
Its an unfair world, as much as Im out of order for using them, I pay £1000's in tax which gets dished out to claiming chav's, or dressing imigrants with paisley shirts, old style leather jackets and Argos gold.
Dont use them now, but sit park in disabled or toddler areas, especially in Tesco's as women parkers are awful and keep hitting my car with their doors.
