Thumbs up Where to get the car serviced and MOT'ed

Hello

I have just spent half the day getting the wifes car serviced at a family friends brothers mechanics. For anyone who knows the Nothwest (Manchester way) I live in Manchester and they are in Rochdale added to the problem is that he always seems to be dead busy and he said come round 9.30am and the car did not get looked at until 1pm! I know he was running behind and is honest, cheap and reliable but the going back and forth is a bit of a pain.

Does anyone know any really decent, reliable mechanics and MOT guys in the North Manchester area? Or should I just stop being a lazy sod?

As an affluent Dentist I would have thought you could have got him to come to you at a time of your choosing??

I can't help with a recommendation I'm afraid as I am in the South, but haven't seen you post for quite a while

Hmmmmm, never met a poor dentist!!

As a quick aside, I have a crown as one of my front buck teeth ...... it's a bit loose now. It is on a screwed peg into the root of the tooth - I am thinking the root may have split.

Whats the options, clearly I need something there ...... and is it a NHS jobbie (max price £159 or something?)

You've still got pegs of your own at your age.

Sir, I salute you.

You probably haven't met many then or only met ones 'down south'.
I think it would cost £194 and some pence. If it i straightforward if as you suggest the root is split vertically it will probably need to come out unfortunately!

Anyway I want to get some details about servicing and MOT not offering free consultations!!!!

By the way get it checked out as maybe it could be saved...the sooner you get it looked at the better.
