mind you mine did the same in germany when i went to the ring in april. on the way back from nurburg at night to our hotel it kept trying to take me down dirt tracks. i know the scoob is a rally car but the roads were more suitable for farm vehicles.
however i made the decision to carry on and let it re programme the route. soon got to know the route though though so didnt need the sat nav on the second night.
