Default Anyone know of good cycle routes around G.Yarmouth

Im off on my hols to near Great yarmouth soon-planning on taking my mountain bike with me as well.
Anyway any good off road riding around that area, forest etc within a few miles of Hopton-on-sea?
I ride hard and fast and like to cycle approx 20 - 25 mile off road when i go so needs to be a decent size forest etc.
Thanks for any info.

A canoe would be better - you're in the middle of the Norfolk broads!

Seriously, I would buy a copy of the 1:25k OS map off the area (EX040) and make up my own route. Looks like there are some old trails around - Weavers' way and Angles way which may be bike friendly.

The best route close to Yarmout is the A47 out of there!

Seriously though, if you can get down there, Thetford Forest is good (although a forty minute drive away), Weavers Way, and Peddars Way are also good. As a wild card, if you can, get into Yarmouth station and get the train to Sheringham. Then head out along North Norfolk Coast to Salthouse. Hardly forest or off road, but great scenery, great pubs to stop at if you fancy it, and good fun.

Was out there on my Ridgeback on Monday afternoon, and loved it. Got the train from Norwich, got off at Sheringham with the bike, and got moving. Great afternoon!

Just go anywhere other than Gt Yarmouth PLEASE!

Its a terrible disease stricken boil upon my fine County that should be removed with the delicate use of a tactical nuclear weapon.
