Angry Vodafone

Why do I have to write to them to cancel my contract

When I signed up for a new contact I did it over the phone, think they are banking on the fact that most people cant be arsed to write in.

Oooh! Oooh! I know the answer to this one!

Is it because they are bunch of money grabbing *******s that will be among the first up against the wall when the revolution comes, sir?

They are all the same - on both counts - written cancellation and money-grabbing-barstewards.

Best way to go is the new type of SIM only account with Orange (and probably other networks) - it's a rolling monthly account. When you get pi**ed off with them you give them their monthly notice and b*gger off elsewhere. Only downside - no new phone.

Even a change of address requires a letter. Despite being able to change your address online, it doesn't seem to actually affect anything.
