Don't Speed in Norway!!!
Had to post this as I've been taking the p**** out of a mate all night about it.
He went to Sweden and Norway on holiday, he hired a car in Sweden, drove through Norway, and picked up a speeding fine for..
£600!!!
The best part is, he was 'only' doing 21 KPH over the speed limit! (what, 8mph??)
They gave him the option of 15 days in jail instead but he had to get back to work!!
We all found this very amusing, and suggested starting a "save the Norfolk One" fund.. he wasn't quite so amused by the whole thing!
Next time you think about whining about a £60 fine and 3 points

Apparently on the little slip he has (which helpfully has a UK telephone number on it to call in order to pay the fine - awfully considerate of them I think) shows the scale of fines vs speed the limit is exceeded by. Theres a fine for 1 to 6kph!

If your friend didn't know that the speeding tickets are that high in Norway it's his fault. He must have at least seen all these equally looking speeding cameras in almost 1 mile gaps throughout the country. Everybody knows that speeding in Norway (or anyplace) is not the best idea. Yes, I know how the roads are tempting in Norway.
