Breaking news on BBC 1. Case confirmed at a farm near Guildford.

No mention of terrorism yet, 10 minutes into the broadcast.

It was no doubt carried onto the farm by an infected "gas guzzling 4x4" that was speeding, driven by a muslim and carrying a load of patio heaters.

An assessment of biosecurity at the Institute for Animal Health in Pirbright is under way. The Pirbright institute, where research into foot-and-mouth is conducted, is located not far from the Surrey farm.
This is almost certain to be the source of the infection IMO.

sorry to be a cynic but watch this outbreak spiral completely out of control like last time and watch how ministers will say that lessons need to be learned and that a second outbreak in 6 years provides a great opportunity to learn even more lessons.

I honestly hope I'm wrong though.
