Post Office.. might not look as good as far as the exchange rate goes compared to some travel agents etc.. but usually works out better because they don't charge a commission.

Post Office

==========

I'm with Barclays and you have to order them

I did explain that this is the 21st century and quite a few people use Euros these days so perhaps they could keep a couple of grand's worth in the drawer. No chance.

Theyre all about the same anyway, better deal pay more commission, no commission less of a deal.

Unless its huge amounts I dont see the point in saving yourself
£10 from half hours scouting about. Its just not worth it. Pay that £10 and save your half hour, its a pint or 2 in the local that can be spent

I get mine from either Lloyds (order online, pay a fiver, delivered next day, no commission) or the Post Office (drive 6 miles into town, search for space, pay £2, walk, queue for hours ) but I see that my local Sainsbury's now have a bureau de change so I might try that next week whilst I do my shopping

You can do that with the Post Office as well.. £5 charge for delivery or free if over £400 of currency.
