For such a crap car, there's a huge amount of them left after 25 years. 76% must be up there with some exotic stuff......

There was a program on the TV about them. The first few built and shipped to the US didn't work and pretty much had to be rebuilt. The engine was apparently rubbish.

However, the factory did get NI people working together rather than fighting.

Well, the engine is French (PSA)....supplied to sweeden(Volvo), then shipped to Northern Island, so what would you expect?

I wonder if they'll be liable for the £30m that 'ol John swindled out of Maggie? Although, we all know that was given to try and sort out the **** up James Callaghan made by giving it the go ahead in the first place -good 'ol Labour

even though I know they're slow, unreliable and pretty much crap - I still think they're ultra-cool. I think they look great (for an 1980's car!).

Its on my "list of cars I'd own if I was a multi-millionaire" anyhow

How about one with modern brakes and suspension, perhaps a Nissan 350z motor instead of the pathetic Volvo/Renault thing ?
