ANY FLOOD PICTURES
any guys get caught up in any floods lastweek?
i got stuck in evesham/gloustershire and tewskbery
lots of prestige motors abandoned in the country lanes
M3 beemers, mercs, jags etc all just parked on and in hedges due to very bad flooding in that area
i was fortunate to get through in my scooby
ended up a 15hr round trip and a full tank of v-power
any one got any pics of the unfortunate weekend??

I've got about 2 foot of clearance under that beast so it was good fun driving through the floods with no worries some of it went half way up the doors though

Nah was in my Frontera its got a ProComp suspension setup and MT's..
Its exactly the same thing as a satnav with speed camera positions, its just using GPS and a database of lat/lons.. The ones that have a laser detector are going to be made illegal and so are the radar detectors, at present there is no legislation that stops their use not even the WTA.

Heres some of the M5 near Tewksbury on the day the heavens opened. it took me 7 hours to get from birmingham to swindon
This was the hard shoulder, further on it covered the barrer
This was the hard shoulder and lane one
And this was the ahrd shoulder, lane one and then lane two, in the end it was about 9 inches deep in the fast lane
Sunglasses were not required!!!!!

DannyBoy, seeing your pictures I'm glad I left Worcester after lunch that day instead of waiting until evening! I left the M5 at Cheltenham and went cross country down towards Swindon on the A417/419 - had to leave that too due to the 8 miles of stopped traffic so ended up down narrower and narrower country lanes (rivers!) round Fairford.
Took me just over 7 hours to get from Worcester to Reading in the end, and then I was up helping the neighbours bail their houses out. The floods stopped at the back of my garage - lucky!
Scoob impressed me with what it would drive through - even though the clutch started to judder after going along a stretch of flooded road a good mile long!
Passed no end of abandoned cars - hate to think how many got robbed.
