Default full car service ???

Local garage as an advert in the local paper offering a full car service this month for just under £80 just wonder what a full service normally consists off ??

oil / filter change
new plugs
???

Not an awful lot.

Probably an oil and filter change and then a list of stuff they recommend needs doing that's not included.

Ask if its done to the vehicle manufacturer's schedule, using the vehicle manufacturers approved oils. If possible ask for a list of components checked and replaced, then compare it to what should be done in the service handbook.

does add say from £80 which means to service a 1980 fiesta 1.1 and not a scooby

Exactly.

You're going to get an oil change and that's about it.

A gimmick to bring the mug customers in.

New plugs in my old MR2T cost more than £80 for the recommended set.

...and they are £60 retail for a set of NGK BKR6EP-8 (even though they can be supplied for £45 )
