Default transit tipper/mini digger

Anyone out there run a transit tipper and carries a 1.5 ton mini digger on the back? just wondered how this set up feels like on the road, pulls ok not to much roll, does it feel to heavy etc

I think if i can remember right you will need a tacho as its over the gross weight.
It will pull it ok though.

How much weight can they carry? i thought 1.5 ton was the max excluding the van weight.

Depends on what engine is in the transit tipper to how it pulls. If it was a 90, it would'nt pull well with a dinky toy 1.5t mini digger in the back. I take it you mean 'in the back' and not 'in a trailer'. Will pull even worse if its in a trailer!

Depends on what model.....not sure what is avail with the tipper bodies, but in the van 260, 280, 330, 350 meaning a total weigh(inc transit) of 2600kgs, 2800kgs, 3300kgs etc..

Trannies will take 1.5 tonnes, and tow 2 tonnes braked. But if you try it with the 90 horse you will wreck it and it will handle like a fat poodle on ice. Stick with the 125 ior 140 hp versions.
