What can i treat myself with?
Just got a service award from work of a £1000 and feel i should buy something worthwhile with it.

Any job that contributes absolutely **** all to society, and is simply a parasitic employ, earning money off the back of other industries/people - I.e. any Job with the title "Agent" in it, is, by default, elligable to enourmous bonuses.
Its the way of the world - Until the revolution comes.

In that case, I like Matteeboy's art suggestion. Maybe something locally connected?

Microlight lessons, awesome
1000 premium bonds
Invest it in penny shares and take the gamble
1000 items from the pound shop
Stick it in an ISA whilst you make your mind up
Ride on lawn mower
4 weeks in magaluf
100,000 penny chews (do you still get these )
Keep it under the bed

I wouldn't get anything electronic, you're marking a special occasion so I'd get something that would last, something you can look at in twenty years and remember what is was about.
The art is a good idea, maybe commission someone up and coming?
Or how about something like custom made cufflinks from someone like Stephen Einhorn? All top notch stuff but loads of people doing similar...
