Ebay ***** (advice needed)
Hi all , The wife has just sold a pair of new shoes on Ebay which was paid for by Paypal E cheque. However she never waited until the cheque cleared and sent the shoes by special delivery which was signed for.We then recieved an email from Paypal saying the cheque has been cancelled. Now she knows it was a silly thing to do sending them before the cheque cleared but she is a new seller and sent them in good faith(the buyer has great feedback and was friendly during the buying process). We have gathered that we have been ripped off and i'm just asking what the best course of action would be to try to recover the money back off the buyer. So far she has asked the buyer why the cheque has been cancelled but got no reply, we have the seller's address and phone number but when we ring the number it just goes to a fax machine. They also live at the other end of the country so a visit with baseball bats wouldnt be cost effective Anyone else been through this experience? what would you do about it?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

I guess she's left positive feedback also?
you google earthed the address to see what sort of premises it is? In case somebody from here wil pay a visit
File a non payment dispute with paypal if you can.

How much did you lose? I've had this e-cheque thing when I sold something, but I did wait until it had cleared. What is it anyway? Why do people still use these things when debit cards are just as easy?

Haha i like that one might give that a go I did warn her about this before she started selling on ebay. Its only £50 but thats wiped out her profits almost from what she sold.Man it makes me angry as she's just trying to earn a bit more cash for us as we've just had a little un and where on less money due to maternity pay etc.Any other sinister revenge tactics like the pizza one would be welcomed

Where are these people located? they dont know what u look like so anyone could pop round for you, It doesnt have to be threatening as when they realise you will keep coming back for the money they will probably just pay up.

only a minor inconvenience to the people who ripped you off, but a night's free working for the driver.
Try baseball bats instead!

Are they selling stuff themselves? If they are buy something of value from them using a new ID, pay on paypal then once item is received do a paypal chargeback.
E-cheques are sh1te, I refuse to accept them, being made to wait 2 weeks is a joke, and you have to pay paypal for the privilege of receiving it!

She bought them from Top shop i think , Buys them certain clothing lines that sell out quickly like the Kate Moss collection etc. Then when they sell out, bang em on ebay and people pay more for them .The tactic worked quite well for some items , like some Kate Moss dresses she sold a while ago were bought for £45 and sold on Ebay for £75-80.You just got to know which things to buy.
