Hi Paul,
I haven't used Nero before but I'll give it my best shot. Are you trying to burn out the wav files to an audio cd? as in being able to play them on a regular cd player or are you trying to burn them out as a data disk?

Question

Is it because you are burning it as an Audio CD and not a Data CD?

off the top of my head (read guessing) your doing this as an audio cd? (hence why it converting to cd audio).

have you tried creating the cd as a data cd and then file integrity (i think) will be kept?

Or please feel free to try vice versa

Thanks,
Yes I was using the audio feature in Nero, I converted the mp3's in to PCM wave files (as it said in Nero)but they where burnt as .cda files.
I used the audio set up to get the gaps between tracks.
Do you use any other software for burning audio?
Yhanks,

...umm...I just use Nero, and burn the mp3 to an audio cd on the fly.
I select the "audio cd" mode, and just drag'n'drop the mp3's into the project.
Try to get hold of a newer version of Nero mate.

That is the way I normally do it, but was told not to let Nero convert the MP3's, as it sometimes ***** it up?? (the music juddered on some of the ones I have burnt in this way).

IIRC the problem with Nero is with the variable bandwidth mp3's.
I've never had a problem with otherwise (if the mp3 hasn't been faulty itself).

cda is the format Audio CDs use. If you select the option to burn a music CD it will convert to .cda so it can be played in CD Players and stuff. If you dont want to convert, burn as a data CD and the format will remain .mp3
