Default IWC watch strap

The leather strap on my IWC Mk XV is finally going, so I need to get another one. I quite fancy black with white stitching, like on the Spitfire models.

If I buy a genuine IWC strap, will it come with a new deployant clasp? If so, it seems a bit of a waste of my existing clasp. If the existing clasp can be fitted to any strap, there's no need to buy an IWC one of course. But looking at it, it looks like the end of the leather loops over the end of the clasp and is then sewn down. There are no visible pins to remove either

I thought the whole point of deployment clasps was that the strap never wears out. How long have you had the strap?

About 2.5 years. I have thin wrists which means that the strap sort of bends around the end of the deployant, and this is where it's worn. Anyway, I wear it every day so the leather is starting to look tatty.

Further invesitigation reveals that the deployant should be removable, so I can just get any strap I like and fit the deployant. I think the clasp is €330, so I bloody hope so!
