Default BT Vision Box

Alright all,

Have any of you gone for the new BT vision box?

What's your thoughts? Like the idea of pausing TV (80GB recorder) and the films on demand etc, but is it worth £90?

PS Already have the BT broadband, necessary for the installation.

Cheers,

Charlie

The box is free but you need to pay a £30 activation fee, and as an engineer needs to call to install the service, there's a £60 installation fee.

This is not charged until the service is up and running and is applied to your next bill, so keep an eye on your next bill mate!

I've seen info suggesting that there will be a self install offer at some point - so you could save the £60.

Also, the blurb suggests a minimum guaranteed line speed of 2Mb for this to work correctly.

Im on 8mb on both broadband lines so thats cool

Self install would be good, especially as its probably minimal effort.

Actually, it's a 80 hour recorder. From what my current freeview PVR does, I would guess that this has a 160GB HDD.

Kittle,

How are you finding the new installation? Or anyone else?

See BT are now offering free Installation (worth £60).

Cheers,

Charlie
