Its my birthday on Saturday & the missus has offered to buy me a new camcorder as my old one is well past it.

Any opinions as to THE best one currently for around £350 ? I know its not a great deal of £££ for something like this but she doesn't work so its a lot for her to spend.

The Sanyo Xacti VPC-C4 looks like a good one, but I really know nothing about camcorders.

We really need it for nothing more than taking good qualaity footage of the family, holidays, etc - so it doesn't need all the bells & whistles, but it must be as small as possible for when we are on holiday - my last one was like carrying a brick around !

Any advice appreciated.
