Default Rosters / Scheduling / Task software

Anybody know of a decent task scheduling app? Key features:
Track tasks for multiple users
Analyse estimates vs actuals for task duration
Plan tasks - split etc

Olly, - Like MS Project type thing?

I found one called "Gantt Project" - by the guys who do "Open Office" - don't know if that helps... SourceForge.net: GanttProject

Cheers

Well kind of, I have MS Project but it really isn't doing what I want it to do. I suppose I'm looking for something like a diary for multiple users so that I can see who is supposed to be doing what at any given time and so that I can see spare capacity.

At the moment I use Excel, which works appart from the reporting aspect, i.e. being able to see which tasks overran and also if I need to split a task that say takes 2 weeks to free up a day for a high priority task, then it's a PIA to do this in Excel.

What about the calender scheduling thing in Outlook - you can have multiple calenders and email tasks that people can reply once the task is completed - it's a long time soince I have used it - but I think it might have the functionallity that you need...
