How to waste £46.4M (or more!!)
From No playground for 'super school' - "The most expensive state school in the UK will not have an outdoor space for students when it opens in September."!!!
However, if you go to the Thomas Deacon Academy website, it is full of pictures of kids sitting down in acres of grassland or throwing bread to ducks on a landscaped lake.
...but you can bet that it won't stop at £46.4M - only two and a half years ago it was only supposed to cost £34M (and was due to open on 2006) - so it will probably be hitting £50M by the time that it opens (and fills with obese kids who will only get fatter!!!).

Sadly that is all about they do is talk and produce good sounding soundbite. to listen to them you would think yup, they know what to do and what is needed, the reality is somewhat different. Self serving egomaniacs who care little about anyone else as long as it does not affect them or theirs.
