Default Gas and Electricity - 3 bed semi how much

Anyone care to post up how much they pay per month or over a year for their gas and electricity?

I'm with NPower and have been paying around £90 a month for both and have just got a statement saying we owe around £600 as our DD payments aren't covering the usage...?

Does this sound right? They want to put up the DD to £210 a month which seems a bit over the top. There is only two of us and we are out all day at work. We have gas central heating, gas hob, gas fire (only installed at Christmas not on all the time).

What do you allpay?

Cheers

Richard

Something wrong here, maybe they have taken out the £210 as an adjustment?

Sounds like I 'm going to spend Saturday on hold then!

you must have a small 3 bed semi

i 'spose bills will vary a lot depending on things like double glazing, brick or plaster house and insulation. i am dreading my first bill

It's a two year old one, two decent sized bedrooms, one just big enough for a bed so yeah, it's not that big but it's ok. Just a shame it's costing us £740 a month mortgage!

Ours is a 1930's semi -brick but would probably do with better insulation. Double glazed etc. It was refurbished last year and has new heating etc.

Found a rant on the internet about Npower, supposedly putting prices up 60% after you have been with them a year without proper notice. Have to lok into this

Ive been trying to get a refund from BG for an old account that was in credit. £50 they owe me and after 4 months I still dont have it. They managed to send me a cheque once but made out to my ex who was taken off the account 3 months prior. Bunch of cowboys and totally incompetant. Funny thing is they only shut my old account as I took ex's name off it and changed my bank account details.

Looking forward to my next phonecall with them. They did give me £40 of my next bill for the hassle and phonecalls but Ill believe that when I see it on next quarters bill.
