You may think I'm taking the **** but I'm deadly serious. As I'm sure we are all aware it's asparagus season and having eaten a lot of it lately I was left wondering exactly why my **** stank in such a strange way (stranger than normal I mean), happily the answer is here so wonder no more asparagus eaters.

I actually thought it produced a derivative of arsenic, maybe mercaptan is. But apart from your wee smelling it's very good for you so load up on the asparagus.

Mercaptans are essentially alcohols with the oxygen of the -OH group replaced by a sulpher atom. No arsenic is required.
