Red face ACAS on strike?

Surely this is irony at it's best. MrsREV phoned ACAS and was told they're on reduced hours due to there being strike action over terms and conditions

given Golden Brown's insulting 2% payrise, which has been firmly rejected, I think there'll be several calls for stikes in the public sector very soon.
That'll mean me battling through like pickett lines again, getting insulted by people who can afford the day off without pay, as their husbands work too.

I mean, 2% - that's nearly £11 a week for me, that'll nearly cover in increase in gas costs...

I know lots of the immigration staff were on strike tuesday after having their budgets cut yet again.

Being asked to do more with less is becoming a real thing for Labour isn't it?

it seems to be a bit of a tradition going on stike on Mayday. They probably consider it a bank holiday.
If i ever join a strike (I won't because I refuse to pay Unison £12 / month), I won't be standing on a picket line...

Prasius - you're dead right - belts can only be tightened so much before your spleen pops out. Still, I can retire in 37 years!
