Whats the standard 'leave' entitlement these days???
Guy's and gals, there's a small chance i may be entering fulltime employment soon, however, i have been self employed for a few years, and have lost touch with what is normal in terms of holiday entitlement these days..... is it 3wks plus bank holidays? or maybe 4 weeks plus bh's....??
Also, the job will/may involve drving customers very expensive cars, and also some valeting, and cleaning the workshop at a sprtscar garage... any idea what salary would be expected... roughly?? per hour??
Many thanks..

Local Government where i used to work was,
32 days after 10 years service (24 to start, 29 after 5 years) + BH's
Flexi, build the time up and take a day off every 4 weeks so another 13 days
potentially if you take all the flexi, 53 days off,
Also, some Local Government places allow a flexi day every two weeks, making a grand total of 66 potentiall days off a year, plus local goverments propensity for sickies, although this is a double edged sword, you cant build up enough flexi when on sick.
Some companies allow you to trade money for leave and other benefits.
I get 26 at the moment which is ok, but I leave at the end of the week to work freelance so its up to me, a day off or a days wages ?

bit **** at my place, as i have a basic wage, then extra per hour for working nights, then £1 attendance bonus. so if for instance i have a day off, i lose the days wages, plus £40 attendance bonus based on a 40 hour week.... **** really, but it apparently stops people throwing one dayers... i argued it also promotes people to come to work when theyre genuinly not fit enough. a good example being a polish guy came to work looking absolutley terrible, you could see he was all miffed and dizzy etc. jumped on the mhe, finished his first assignment and crashed straight into a recieving area barrier as he blacked out. needed an ambulance to come give him oxygen lol.
and they say it works
