easter weekend sales - 42` plasmas ???
Anyone recommend any particular easter weekend deals on 42` plasma tv`s ??
curreys have a nice 42` samsung at £799 which looks a good deal, had a couple off LG models that I must admitt I was very impressed with the overeall picture quality, would have preferreec to go with panasoinic after reading so many good reports on them on here but seems the offers on the panasonics are no longer running and they are back up to well over a grand ??
so anyone know off anything worth investigation further this easter weekend ??

Think thats all I need to know mate !!!
wonder if yours came with this particular stand or you opted to go for wall mounting ??
really do fancy having it on the wall but wife prefers having it on a stand - decisions , decisions !!!!
wonder if they would knock anything off for taking the set only and not the stand ??

Mine came with this stand eBay.co.uk: Panasonic Pedestal Stand TY-ST50P600W for 50" plasma TV (item 200095992360 end time 09-Apr-07 09:43:11 BST)
The model with the stand you'd get was £300 more!!
I'll definitely mount mine on the wall at some point but haven't got round to it yet

The Panasonic disappointed me massively - the picture quality was ok'ish but the cabinet/the look of it was really bad ...............
The LG, however, fantastic picture and fantastic looking piece too ....
I hate LGs Customer Service, but it was - by a country mile - a better picture than the Panasonic

Okay thanks mate, yep not overally keen on this stand currantly supplied with the above pany, but again if I get my way it wont be required as the screen will be being wall mounted.
LG, yep these were the ones that were picked to be on the demo wall off my local comet / currys ?? and must admitt the pic quality was actually amazing, kinda put off by the fact its not an established name or is it ??!! and probebly because this " LG " make is available at my local esco / asda etc !!!
would have went for the above panasonic but seems I may have trouble tracking one down at the above price ??!!

Well, I went into my local Currys to buy a Panasonic 37" for £698 ..... the LG simply blew the Panasonic out the water - and I hate to admit it!!
I have plenty of Panasonic stuff and it's great - but, their Plasmas are now beaten by LGs offerings ...... even the grand Pioneer was well and truly beaten - my eyes don't lie!!
I came home with a 42" LG Plasma at £799 and it is simply stunning on Standard Definition.
However, each to their own ...............

Okay went into my local comet for a look at what they had to offer, they had an LG and a samsung model, both 42" and both priced at £799, being as it mostly normal tv and freeview we watch as opposed to HD sky tv the salesman let us see what freeviw looked like on them , must admitt side by side the samsung looked a much sharper picture quality than the LG model but again have seen the LG model running HD and was very impressed !!
wall brackets ?? did not realise they wree so expensive !! comet quoted £200 for one suitable for holding a 42" plasma, for another £100 they can organise full fitting off the wall bracket but any cables are just conceealed conj as opposed to running them down the rear off the actual plasterboard.
decisions, decisions ??!!

the only 42" plasma under £1500 worth getting is the panasonic th42px70b.
i did bout 2weeks of reaserch when i was after a plasma and its pretty clear after the 1st 10 mins of browsing the a/v sites this is the one.
i also have 2 toshiba lcd tv's, a 32" and 37" (both top of the range models) and the panny plasma pisses all over these for PQ.
wouldnt touch LG with a barge pole, there cack hence why there cheap.

I repeat, the Panasonic is one UGLY TV!!
Maybe those who like the BugEye Impreza also like the Panny??
Some people just love really ugly things ........
What would you do if you had a dead pixel? is it acceptable?
