I had to "fish" out a crab from my marine tank last night (that came from live rock I bought) and put a knife through it as it had red eyes and would eat the other tank life....

Anyone else had to do this?!
You should ALWAYS quarantine any new introductions to the tank (unless of course you are content for your existing stock to be put at risk). A small tank to introduce new inhabitants into can save a LOT of hassle in the long run!
Yes that would be a good plan, but as this is my first marine tank I didnt have much choice! its a D&D nano cube and im amazed at the eco system and things that are living in it. I have also found a few other crabs 2 that are tiny and another about the size of 10p thats hairy with white pincers and white bands on its legs, apparently that ones safe!
