Where to get software for phone?
Hi
I have a Nokia 6230i and want to configure it for the bluetooth thingie in my car. The BMW website says I need certain software on the phone called V3.40. I've searched the Nokia website and they don't mention it.
Anybody know where/how I get hold of it

I dont think you can upload newer versions of bluetooth - Its built in and thats it as far as I'm aware
Some of the newest Nokia phones only have V.2.0 - you may need to get something like a blackberry

V3.40 is just the version of firmware that runs on the phone. You can find out what version you have by entering *#0000# A page of info will appear including your firmware (software) version. No idea why BMW should want this version but hey ho ....
If it needs upgrading and it's out of warranty then send it to these guys: Fone Fun Shop - Mobile Phone Accessories, Mobile Phones, Mobile Phone Unlocking, Cables & Mobile Phone Ringtones Did mine for £15 recently.

Dave, the link doesn't work and I can't send my phone away for a few days, its my lifeline. I seem to have V03.62. No idea why I need to have 3.4 but thats what the bmw website says for my phone.
Is there no way of downloading this over the net?

As for the link, yeah, it's a bit unreliable for me. Don't just click on it once - hit the refresh button a couple of times.
