Default Recommendations for Small Business Accountant?

Hi Guys,

Ok, I could really do with some collective suggestions here please guys....

2 years ago I left blighty for Spain where I now live. I still retain share ownership and directorships of 2 UK Ltd companies as well as being a sole trader here in Spain. I use an Accountants firm that I had been using for 2 years previously in Tunbridge Wells but since moving to Spain they've gotten worse and worse at the service they supposedly provide. They take days to answer an email (and then the answer is normally not addressing the question I asked), calls aren't returned, they aren't proactive in any way for issues like tax mitigation etc. and they want to charge silly ammounts of wonga for the privilidge.

I'm therefore intent in swapping accountants and to be honest, given my distance from the UK anyway, an accountant anywhere across the UK would be cool though SE based (London) would suit best as that is where most of the time when I now visit.

For info, I run a web design and SEO/Marketing agency and need the following prerequisites:

1/ Ability to answer emails to accountancy questions same day (as tax issues pertainant to me in the UK often have a knock on effect in Spain for example)

2/ Ability to have registered office at their address

3/ Ability to file, and where necessary advise, of VAT returns and issues (I will, in the next few months, be able to provide access to a new web based accountancy system we are building so an accountant will be able to see what invoices we are issuing and processing etc.)

4/ If we can use their address as our invoice address as well that would be a bonus, though not critical as we do have a small UK office representation.

5/ Tax mitigation issues (Corporation tax, VAT and personal liability)

6/ General tax advice, liaison with HMCR, filing etc.

Any advice would be really appreciated as I need to sort this out because of my remote location fairly sharpish...
