Question What software do I use to "rip" DVD's for IPod Video

I am about to replace my IPod Photo with an 80gb IPod Video.
Naturally I would like to install some DVD material to the IPod and am aware that this needs to happen in 2 separate processes.
I think I am OK with the transferring to IPod but am uncertain what is the best (most user friendly) software to rip the DVD on to my PC.
I need the software to have "basic" commands as I am a novice at this.
Any suggestions, please??

You need something to decrypt the DVD's and extracts the VOBS

something Like DVD Decryptor.

DVD Decrypter

this has ceased development but still works with except the very latest copy protections.

You then need something to transocde the Mpeg2PS vobs into something more usable on the IPod.

I use gordian knot to convert to Divx/Xvid. Im not an ipod fan so do not know what codecs they support.

I hope you have a powerful PC or you are looking at many hours to convert a DVD.

dvdfab decrypter has Ipod utilities.

You have to pay for the full version to get these facilities, but it doesn't cost much.

Ripit4me is the best one I've found so far, it combines dvd decryptor and shrink plus some other tools. I've used them all, and this is by far the best, free to.

I use DVD decryptor and Videora but I still haven't tried it out on Vista yet despite the PC sitting there with it on!

I've tried a lot of these types of tools but when going to mp4, they all mess up the audio sync, mostly by a tiny amount but enough that it gets on my teats.

Would like one to do it properly and don't mind paying, any suggestions for proper professional products and not just geek groups with websites?
