Yes
If you have the PC for it, you can fit a DVD Movie onto a single CDROM disk.
You need the disk space to decrypt the file(using deCSS), you then need to convert the output into Mpeg 4(takes a 1Ghz PC about 20 hours to do ) then burn the Mpeg 4 file to CDROM...

Yeah and the quality is cack, even when spread onto two cd's IMHO it still looks rubbish.
for the amount of time it takes and the result you might as well buy the dvd in the first place

Just to state that if you have a P4, go and get the Intel tweeked Flask encoder. Quicker than playback (i.e. entire movie encoded in less than the running time of said movie).

I agree Damaja. Dunno why people would want to do it, but it can be done.
Personally I find a region free DVD drive(with patched firmware) to be the best option for DVD playback on a PC

Yeah Neil, it just annoys me that people want to take a DVD which is amazing quality and turn it into a moving mosaic of pixels and try to convince themselves or any people nearby that it is good quality!
