Wink One for the pedants in York!!

The local council has just repainted all the road surface arrow's and sign's on the way into Monks Cross shopping centre.

It is a shame that whoever was responsible cannot spell as there are at least five instance's, in very large letters of

STORE'S

I kid you not!!

Oh, dear

You realise many people reading this won't have a clue what the problem is, don't you?

They can certainly talk + they do tend to like the sound of their own voices'

Perhap's you could make a ring around all the mistakes with some yellow paint. It works for pot holes in the road I understand!

Notwithstanding the obvious error of grammar are they not also called "shops" in the UK

Better still, annotate the ring with a note stating why

Just wondering if it's pedantic to point a basic error like that out when it's made in foot high letters on the road!

I mean, typos on forums are one thing, but.......

I work with a load of people who don't know when to appropriately use an apostrophe. We have many instances of "GCSE's."

I get annoyed keep having to say it's a plural!!!

Apparently it's not a grammatical error...

the filter lane is to the Superstore and instead of

STORE'S

it is supposed to say

S'STORE

As the road is not wide enough to write SUPERSTORE.

I am not sure which is worse!!

I think what is worse is the fact that you spent time researching that point

I have had the misfortune of seeing this grammatical error today.
What were they thinking, or should I say not?
It deludes me as to why they would create such an catastrophe on something so simple. As a York resident I have payed for this to be done. The mind ponders
