Anyone fancy a N Yorks Moors run on Sunday 8 Jul? Early start, breakfast, and a good run! Meet at 0830 at Tesco car park, Monks Cross Shopping Centre, YORK (near the junction of A1237 & A1036 on the northern part of the ring road). Head out towards Helmsley on the back roads, West towards Kirkbymoorside, up to Rosedale Abbey, back down to Pickering, Malton and York. See you there. Cheers

Roger

Depending on how well I feel after Saturday night on the Notts run, I may be attending this one........0830 is a bit early though isn't it?????

Early bird catches the apex Michelle!

Only point to note is that it is the ASDA car park, not TESCO, as I previously mentioned, duh!!

And I'll be the one in the White WRX STI Type RA.

Hopefully see you there.

Excellent, I will have a silver 94 WRX (hopefully) and probably a couple of stragglers!

Could I possibly arrange to meet a bit later? As I will (or we) will be travelling from Nottingham............

Cheers,

Michelle.

Roger - from experience moving the meet time back an hour will greatly increase the attendance

If you just want three or four cars for a 'more fun' blast then fine (and will benefit from quieter roads!!), but if you are looking to raise a dozen or more, a 9.30/10am start will see far more 'sleepy heads' turn up in time

Democracy, don't you just hate it!! :-)

0930 hrs it is then!! But we'll have to stop for a bacon roll and coffee a little bit earlier then, cos I'll be Hank Marvin by then! Looking forward to a good run and meet some like minded petrol heads. Cheers

I might make it, my other half has just informed me thats she's off out for the day. Will however see if I can find someone to come along, as I don't fancy sitting in my car alone all day.

I'd love to go, the run that Chris Clayton did over there was superb BUT I'm going on our kids stag do on the saturday night so any driving at all is out of the question for me!!

I'd only show you all up in the Fiesta anyway

Hmmm, I'm doing the Nott's meet on the Saturday as well. I might stagger up, although it's around 110 miles which would mean an early start to be there for 9.30am.

Would be nice to go up though as I've got a lot of family in Stamford Bridge (just up the road from York).

I'll have a think.

Good to see there's some interest up here!

On a seperate note, I popped into Elvington Airfield, just south of York, on Saturday and stumbled upon a Misibushi FTO and Honda track day. I was a lone scooby in a sea of mitsis. Then, bugger me, 3 other scooby's turned up in convoy, including a 22b UK, very nice. Not so nice for the guy in the Honda S200 who hit a cone on the circuit and now requires a new front end!! For those of you hitting Elvington in August, note that the track eats tyres and brakes like nothing I've ever seen before.

Nice to see some more interest, hope you can all make it. I'm not sure how long it will take, I've only done a map recce, deliberatley not done a run so that it will be new for me too!

Please also note that SUL fuel is available at Monks Cross from Sainsbury's. Or for those of you who don't like supermarket fuel, Shell on the Northern York ringroad coming in from the A64 Leeds road also have it, so no excuses!!

Cheers

Sorry I wasn't there guys.
If I had managed to get my car back on saturday I would have made it. Instead it was a night out in Nottingham with ChrisB and co.

I want to try that road - it sounds good Watch out one silver bullet headed in that direction once picked up this week

Will look out for further meets around that said road

Cheers Tim, exactly what I was looking for, a like minded petrol head who doesn't mind driving the ***** off his car. That EVO VI does go well, and I don't think my brakes have recovered at all!! Only when we returned did Tim tell me he was an ex rally, Kart, touring car etc etc racer, engineer etc etc!! Here's to the next get together. Good job not many people turned up though, doubt if they could have stayed with us!!(there's a challenge in there somewhere!!)

Cheers
