"Jay Walking"
I cannot be the only one that thinks the younger generation believe all roads are just one big Zebbra crossing? They dont even look at any cars coming their way. Just chat away on their phones stepping out expecting everyone to stop. maybe Its time we do what they do in the USA and ban "Jay Walking" also no use of Ipod /phone etc whilst crossing roads
I witnessed two teenage girls today step out right into th epath of a bus. Both girls Yacking on their phones and telling the driver to **** *** when he jumped out to Tell them he was "upset". they just walked away again into th eroad ignoring other cars and laughing
Its like they love Death?

Yip, senile old buggers who don't even have the excuse of even knowing what an Ipod is seem to have an obsession with jumping out in front of me.
Prehaps its an attempt at assisted suicide or something??

I've generally found that women with young kids are the worst offenders, the kids invariably do what their teachers have taught them and look both ways, see you coming and stop The mother is always so wrapped up in her own little world that she'll lose her temper at the poor kid and start dragging him/her across the road in front of you
Then when they finally do see you, the first thing they shout is always "Why don't you watch where you're going?" WTF

The worst offenders are young-to-middle-aged men, trying to prove how macho they are. They saunter across the road, deliberately making you slowdown or take avoiding action.
Like, "Look at me, aren't I HARD, I made a car slow and give way to me".
I DO slow, (of course) , then, just as I'm REALLY close, give 'em the airhorns Makes the b*ggers jump and they look stupid, not hard

I find its the 14-255 years olds. As they seem to have some chip on their shoulder avout things. The manner in which they want to try and start some sort of conflict with the drivers. They just waltz out from behind buses etc and expect cars to just stop straight away for them.. Not once do they think the driver might not be watching etc or even worse be drunk etc.

True, it's just our beligerent, bitter, chip-on-the shoulder society. I hope wonder what it'll be like in 10-15 years when all these 'attitude' types are the people running the country...

And then when the little shesiters get run over, the locals / parents blame the council for inadequate road safety measures, rather than themselves for not educating their kids on road safety and the Green Cross Code...
It's another example of what is wrong with our country today...

Oh that does really annoy me - A crossing no more than a few metres away and then they expect you to slow down for them. Get screwed; if you walked to the crossing I'd me more than happy to stop - as it is you can go get *cough*ed.

.. and also, when I use a crossing as a pedestrian I'm amazed at the amount of people who don't press the little button and just expect the lights to change based on a "smell of stale cat **** sensor"

The best ones are the:
Crosses the road just ahead of where you are, sees you approaching and feckin slows his stride to try and make you brake... , then when you have the 'Death Race 2000' stare (and its odds on you aren't slowing down) they crap their pants, but try to keep 'cool' as they speed up again in a Benny Hill/Monty Python style silly walk way.....
