Some Sky channels freezing - others fine. Help!
I am seeing a few Sky channels freeze (e.g. UKTV G2, Kerrang, UK Living) for a few seconds or permanently, yet others are fine! It did it the other week with a Box Office film (Ice Age 2 for the little lad) which was more annoying as it cost £3!
Does anyone else have this problem?
It's a Sky+ box which is 3 months out of warranty.
Thanks in advance!
Steve

I had the same problem, had an engineer out and everything.
Turned out my next door neighbour has a road angle/ speed camera detector which he switched on in his car. This was interfering with my signal.
I got him to turn it on and off one day, and sure enough when it was on I had some channels freezing and other were fine, and as soon as he switched it off all the channels were fine.
According to the engineer who pointed this little tip out to me, there is a multitude of little gizmo's that can interfer with satellite signals, scanners, wifi connections, satnav devicesetc.... its just a case of working out which one if any it is.

Your not the only one we can be watching something for hrs then it comes up with a blue screen no signal or this channel has a fault. we have had people out twice first time they didnt do anything as it wasnt playing up the 2 min they were here then second they changed the box and that did **** all so they are coming out next thursday again. If they dont fix it ive told them im not paying them anymore for something that doesnt work.

My box sometimes fails and the only way to get it to work again, like you, is to unplug the mains for a few seconds, and then wait for it to find all the channels again. Bit of a nuisnace really. Mine is a Grundig box.
