Default NOT TO BE MISSED - 7pm BBC1 TONIGHT

Tuesday BBC1 7pm Watchdog - What really happens to your car when you go on holiday and leave it in a 'secure' car park. This should be interesting!

Has this not been on before as I remember a programme showing the cars being moved 20-30 miles away and left in old yards until your return.

Shocking though!

been on before and if i recall the mishaps that they quote were actually old cases.I have just been abroad and was leaving my scooby at APH at Manchester and they quoted a string of thefts for the car park so I contacted them directly and they assured me it was and old story and security etc had been reviewed.collected the car last week and it had covered 0.5 miles which I would suspect was the drive to surrounding carparks but they did actually smash the front number plate with what looked like another cars tow ball but they have offered to replace,Generally it was a good proffesional service.

My old man had trouble with APH Gatwick about 15 years ago, They used his van to move house for someone!!!! and then smashed it up!!!!

They had it repaired and didn't say anything when he collected it. They parked the side that had been hit so he couldn't look round it but he spotted some overspray.

The repair wasn't very good and they had missed some internal supports that had been broken in the accident. All was sorted out in the end but I wouldn't trust a car park that parked it for you.

I wouldn't consider ANY damage as a "good proffessional service"
I'm afraid I'm not brave enough to leave my car in the "care" of any such firm!

My manager used to work for an airport parking firm and i'd never consider using one just because of some of the horror stories he has told me.If they damage your numberplate in 0.5 miles imagine what could happen if they took it further.

I parked for weeks on end at the long stay Heathrow carparks and never once had a problem.

Wouldn't let one of those cowboy companies look after it.

Two 'associates' used to work for a car park at Luton and what they got up to was shocking. In the end they had to leave when it became obvious who was helping the nicer cars to go missing. At least subaru dirvers will be OK though. They might drive subarus for a laugh but they used to steal Bm's Mercs etc.

I valet park with Purple Parking and CPS several times a month.
Never any problems- and I always note the miles down.
