Probably refering to the banding issue where many people are claiming back from the council. This was covered by the ITV a couple of weeks ago.
You can check the value of your house against the banding prices set when council tax started. Then use another site to check similar properties in the street to yours and if you have been banded higher you can claim back upto 4 years

Server crashed when I submitted!
To cut a long story short, I didn't realise I was entitled to claim 25% discount for single occupancy in my flat, so the council owe me £1,200 for the three years four months I've been living there!
They can pay the first years immediately, but I have to put a claim in writing for the balance.
I only found it out because I was thinking of moving and an estate agent told me I should get a 25% discount off the price.
Looks like I'll be fitting one of Harvey's FMIC's sooner than expected
Moral of this story, check what you're paying you could be quids in!
Cheers

I'll probably phone the counsil back tomorrow and be told that they've made a mistake and I owe them £1,200.
Cash should cover FMIC, Oil Catch can, Knocklink and a tweak to Powerstation Map with cash to spare
