How can I transfer the music from my ipod onto my new computer?
Hello there,
My computer recently died on me taking with it my 20gb of music.
That said I do have the music saved on my ipod. In the past hen I've needed to reinstl windows I have been able to put my music back onto my computer via my ipod.
I used a programme called ipod ulity or something. Things is I can't remember exactly what it is called and so I'm having real problems trying to down the music onto my new computer.
On the iTunes web site there is information to help you transfer you music but you need to have the old computer up and run in order to transfer it, as mine's broke/ I don't have that pleasure.
But as I said it should be a problem, I've done it before without, but can't remember now.

Is the HDD in you old computer fine? You could put that in your new pc as an additional drive (or use it to backup stuff etc.) and start calling your dad's brother robert.

Thanks for all the help guys. I managed to find a decent programme to do it all for me automatically. iGadet. Install it, then click one button and as if by magic all my music is back in iTunes.
Think I'm gonna make a copy of that programme, and all my music while I'm at it.

what i am using is Aniosoft iBackup to tansfer music from my iPod to my new laptop.Aniosoft ibackup. It enables you to transfer iPod's music and other content to any storage device and iTunes as well. And both the backup in the storage device can be recovered and restored with no any change and no any risk. And the data in the iTunes is quite in accord with the iPod's data including its playlists, rating and etc.
i have been using Aniosoft iBackup to transfer data from iPod to iTunes and hard drive for almost two years. so far so good. The transferred files is exactly same with the original one. so i don't have to be worried about the accidently data lose and hard drive crash since i have made backup files with this tool. Another good merit of this one is that i can get coupon code when i registered as a member.
