Default Orange broadband

Does anyone have anything good to say about them?

I've been trying to get a MAC code out of them since 12th December last year.

Far and away the worst customer service dept in the history of customer service depts.

Currently holding for the third time, been trying them since about 6 PM

Infuriating is not the word

Setting it up wasn't the problem, it's getting them to let you leave that is.

Getting the MAC number was the least of my problems.

That side went very well for some unkown reason.

Last year I moved house and before I did the download speed seemed to be getting slower and slower, so when I went to change it to my new address I had to ring them and found out that I was only on a 1/2 meg connection even though I had been upgraded to a 1meg connection whilst still with Wanadoo. They said that they had no record of my upgrade so I threatened to leave as I could get upto 8meg with somebody else for half the price of Orange, after a bit of huffing and puffing and "checking with their supervisor" they agreed to do me the same deal as the other company so i now have a 2meg connection with a free upgrade to 8meg when the line gets upgraded.

<rant>
Wanadoo had spam filtering on their e-mail servers but Orange do not for some reason you would of though that if they were talking over Wanadoo's system they would of kept the same setup. Also Orange do not host newsgroups either
Why take over a system and make it worse ????

Dire cust services, especially sinec Orange took over.
More and more of my emails I send are getting blocked as spam.
Emails coming in are taking hours if not a day to arrive.
As soon as I have changed all my cookies linked to orange/wanadoo/freeserve then I'm off.
