I've bought a car from autoadvan, great guys. I trasnfered some money to them via online halifax. It asked for organisation, reference and sortcode/account number. What I did was put the bank name as org and my name as ref, should that be ok? The bank sortcode/account details 100% right. So my question is whether the org or ref is wrong, will the money still go the right account? worried sick at the mo? what security do i have if it goes paired shape?

I would have put autoadvan as the ref, but as the sort code and account number are correct the money will get there OK.

It's a bit of a bugger when you want to pay a company abroad with the online system.
Why cant banks standardise the system so that all accounts have similar entry details.

I've not got time to go to the bloody branch.
