Oh - My - God...
Can you just imagine trying to do that in the UK. Just how much chance do you think you will have of trying to convince the Police that the lump of dynamite was there to help you go surfing.

Hmmm - Even that much explosive would struggle to make a wave like that though - Especially blowing up just about on the surface.
Waves are created over a distance of hundreds of miles (or using huge pumps on wave machines) - Looking at it, I think it's some clever editing.

12 seconds is a damn good ride for the UK.
Windsurfing's for mid-life crisis types.
I know because we moved to Cornwall partly so my Dad could do more of it!

About when my Dad started (now 55)!
I did it for a bit but preferred surfing.
I do know a fair bit about it though - Assume yours is a slalom board (not many waves in Brighton)?
Dad used to run a company that made windsurf bags, harnesses, etc.

I did work experience many years ago at Lightwave (now bust) and although I never got into it, I'm a sponge for absorbing nerdy stuff.
We lived at Daymer Bay nr Polzeath - Ideal for windsurfing.
Before we moved to Cornwall (from Surrey, 1989) we did trips almost every weekend to Hayling Island - Not a lot of fun for us kids but Dad seemed to enjoy it. Was quite a relief when we moved next to the sea!
Lots of them out at Gwithian last Saturday (surf was very good too) - Some impressive stuff being done.
