Iraqi death squads
Last night on C4.Just made me think. There is no way Iraq will ever be sorted by outside western influence and an extra 20,000 American troops means nothing.
Chilling.Especially seeing the bodies lined up and the coffins containing the bodies of those who had their eyes gouged out and teeth pulled out before being killed.
Some really sad scenes of a country in a total mess

Iraq IMO has been a total f**k up from start to finish and a lot of innocent lives have been lost, over the sake of robbbing the country blind.
it was blatently obvious that he did not have WMD, thing is we all thought it would be over in 6 months.
Now looking back i ask myself was it the right thing to do????
(from someone who supported it at the start)

I never supported it and am deeply ashamed of what Tony Bliar has done there in my name
What would happen in Iraq if they removed Saddam without immediately installing a strong and effective replacement was glaringly obvious to anyone with half a brain
That's the reason Dubya's Daddy stopped where he did in '91
It's also why there was over a decade between the two gulf wars. It took the Dick'n'Don show that long to find and install a stooge dumb enough to let them carry on with their 'get rich off the ragheads' crusade

So many people in this country knew it was a disastrous mistake and also did not believe the lies that were peddled by those who have profited by telling them. It takes a lot of support to get 2 million people to march on London to try to stop it.
It was an illegal act in the first place anyway and it was only after it was obvious that the WMD did not exist that they started to use the excuse of the fall of SH when even that is an internationally illegal act. Many seriously bad and dishonest things and suppression of the truth were done to try to con Parliament and us.
It is of course significant that Iraq is said to have the world's second largest reserves of oil.
This will always be put at our feet for many years in the future and we are now of course a major terrorist target.

So sad. Immediately after the invasion & occupation, the insurgency seemed to be mainly Sunni based - car bombs killing Americans at first and then moving onto the Sh'ite population as a whole.
Now we have the addition of Shi'ite militia operating within the Iraqi police as death sqauds against Sunni civilains living in mixed areas (in order to "ethnically cleanse" them), with the new Iraqi Govt turning a blind eye.
Can't help thinking that when US/British forcees leave, the country will separate on ethnic/religious grounds.

Having just camr back fro there i agree with a lot of the posts above, all i ask is support the troops who are still there(british) as beleive it or not a lot of them feel the same way and want home as well.
IMO the Iraqi's have been brought up on Their own type of justice and this has been going on for centuries by paying tribal blood money etc, this has obviously escalated but trying to force them into a western justice system will not work. you cannot fine them as they have no money, cannot jail all of them as there is no proper prisons up and running yet, beleive it or not this was explained to me by a Brummie who is currently on remand in the DTDF whilst on terrorism charges. we soldiers are stuck in the middle trying to do our job whilst the politicians spout there own spin on things.
Just to think, i was about a hour away fro doing a arrest OP on Mutadr-al-Sadr on Telic 2,(THAT WOULD HAVE KICKED IT OFF).

Do I care what you think it sounds like? Them articles are spread though different dates over different years, its been widely (time wise) reported, but the mass media have chosen to ignore it for their own gain.

Let's not forget that the revered and monumentally worshipped Winston Churchill whislt governing Iraq in the 1920's sort permission and was granted permission to gas the Marsh Arabs in the south.
Also, many thousands of British soldiers were killed between 1917 and 1921 in Mesopotamia (Iraq) fighting the Turks.
