Default how much do cleaners cost?

im not talking on a perminant basis, but ill be honest our house is looking a little grimey behind the scenes as were a busy family with 2 young children no time to get it all done, obv its allways hoovered polished etc etc but theres allways the bits you dont see at first

mentioned to the wife how about i get a cleaner in to help you for a day so you can blitz the house leave the kids at the mother in laws for the day she thinks a good idea

so anyway she mentioned her mate might help as moneys tight, now its a tricky situation, asking a mate to be your cleaner lol so she has to tactfully mention it

so how much should we offer her for a days cleaning? say from 10 till 3

???

or if any of you lot have a cleaner how much does it cost?

Look at the corner shop notice board and/or local paper for local rates and add £0.50p per hour if it's a mate.

Guess £6.00 - £7.00 per hour with tea and biscuits.

You could do your house then your friends, I suppose. One good turn deserves another.
Me personally, I wouldn`t take money from a friend. All I would expect is a thankyou and hopefully they`ll help me one day.

mine costs me 6 quid an hour.

at first she used to do 4 hours every week, but now she's on top of it its 2.5 hrs every 2 weeks.

bargain, best thing I ever did. I don't mind any domestic chore, but I loathe hoovering, dusting, cleaning the bathroom, the kitchen etc.

Mine even sorts my underpants out and folds them in rows in the drawer, from my mon-fri daytime ****ters on the left, working across to my saturday night fever specials on the right

I'm everything but posh

It's time I don't have, I imagine most people that hire a cleaner are in the same boat.

Hello

Mine cost about £5 per hour, didn't do a very good job. And then found she ACTUALLY cost about £150 when I got the phone bill and she had been calling Psychic hotlines...

The Phillipina house maids in the better parts of london (so not Dalston etc) take home about £500 cash a week.
