....to come? My lad passed his test a week last saturday, and his examiner said he'd see to getting him the full license sent. He's not had owt yet, though.....

I sent mine off personally, took less than two weeks. Was a long time ago.
I suppose its how busy they are processing etc.

When i passed my test i had to send away the two test certificates myself, a few years ago, in 2002 at least unless its changed.

my first scooby

I did my class 1 last year and they offered to send it away for me which was a new way. You get a choice you do in yourself or they will do it for you.
mine took about 3 weeks to come.

Just out of interest, what happens if he gets a producer, in the meantime?

I got a producer, when i was waiting on mine to come, when i produced my documents, i told the police offer i did not have the licence and why, he said he would report me for that offence, but they would check with the dvla and if i had a licence i would receive no court summons which i never did, again this may have changed since 2002.
