My insurance is coughing up for a new sky box after the old met a grisly end at the hands of a 2 year old with a cup of water.

but at present - I'm on the absolute basic package (only have sky for 24 & Lost) but if I have no subscription, no doubt sky will charge an arm and a leg for a new box.

So, that in mind - can I wangle a Sky+ box out of them If I take a sub?

or even better - Sky HD?

Never can tell with Sky though, my digital box started playing up about 5 months ago but they wanted £60 + £40 call out charge, I told them no thanks, in the end they put one in for free.

I rang up just before Xmas to have the whole lot switched off, thinking they may offer me a deal, but they just said ok it will go off in 30 days haven't missed it once

How you doing mate long time no hear.I have just had the same sort off problem but not as bad as yours I tried it on with sky today due to having bought a sony 46" wall mounted lcd tv I wanted to upgrade my package to hd+ but without the extra cost guess what got no joy after being bounced between different people for an hour and in the end up gave up and subscribed.....after all that it had better be worth it.
