Any Promax users on here?
Hi all,
One for the bodybuilders!
Never used supplements myself, but have a mate who is currently using Promax Extreme and swears by it. He suggested I try some and make up my own mind. Fair enough. I had a swig of his chocolate flavour shake to see what it tasted like and....
YUK!!!
It doesn't disolve properly and if that's chocolate, I'm off it for life!!!
Does anyone know if the vanilla or strawberry flavours are less offensive?

Whey Protein is pretty dire to be honest.
i buy plain whey from the whey consortium 30 odd quid for 5kg (yes you heard correct) and stick some nesquik in it - lovely.

Yep, I tried it with water. Nearly hurled!!
Milk is the way to go- even that's gross!
TBH I'm wondering if it's worth the hassle, I've been working out for 10 years and my body responds well to exercise anyway, I've just been a bit slack lately and looking for a little help with muscle recovery to aid transition back to *proper* workouts This is why the friend suggested Promax

Well when I say they don't work......they do but kretin (my pet name) just makes you hold water......don't even know why I mentioned it
Just have it with water, get all the goodness out of it and have something nice to take the taste away after
edited to say, Not bad fella, Happy New year!
how about yourself?
I know what you mean, i'm back in training now and needing my fair share of glucose oil, vitamins etc.....the first month is the hardest
Just pile on the good food fella!
I'm already on my 6 meals a day.....

If your looking for a powder that tastes nice then the CNP stuff is the way to go. Ive tried loads of different brands over the years and CNP is by far the best.

Anyway promax is just another fany marketing maxismuscle ****e thats robbing your friends money. Yes it does work but no better than other quality products which are alot cheaper.
Its always the amateurs that go for maximuscle products

I've tried quite a few different protein brands and currently use EAS Whey Protein. I find this stuff mixes in much easier than any other brand i've tried, and tastes not too bad.
I recommend mixing it with skimmed or semiskimmed milk though and not water, tastes much better and realisticly the fat content f the milk is minimal

From the same guys that make the reflex products but at a reduced price.
You can get 4.6 KG of unflavoured whey for £20 when you use the coupon code which is muscletalk.
Since discovering these guys its all I ever use now, and I have been through alot of brands. The manufacturer gets a thumbs up from whoever uses it.

Ive used Reflex creatine before its good stuff, they have just started doing a creatine and protein all in one mix. £40 for a tub.
Ive use Maximuscle to no affect.
Met-Ex Protein shakes are good and dont taste too bad.

Its debatle. Some say yes, others say no. Research data is inconsistent.
Try it yourself and be your own judge.
Dirt cheap from these guys:

Hmmm - I had a rather "fighty" period when using it but never put it down to the creatine!
