what wedding music would you chose
getting married this year and need to start finalising things
as its a civil ceremony we can choose the music she walks "down the aisle" to
i fancy stairway to heaven as she arrives and maybe highway to hell (best song ever) as we bugger off for the photo's
dont think her or the registrar would approve of my second song
any idea's / suggestions
cheers

We had a Classical mix for walking down the aisle, Hooked on Classics Pt 3 The Wedding March, Albatross by Fleetwood Mac for signing the book and Everybody Needs Somebody from Blues brothers to leave
edited to add I did want the theme music from The Sweeney but couldn't find a MK1 Granada to take us to the registry office.

We got married in a hotel in Aviemore, and did a deal over the music
She had a bagpiper playing the here comes the bride bit.......
.......and I had the Buzzcocks - Ever Fallen in Love for the first dance

Or you could use theme from "The A-Team" as per my Brother in Laws wedding (exit of the bride and groom). Unfortunately they didn't run down the aisle or dive through a window into a waiting black van which kind of ruined it for me.

Nothing worse than modern music for weddings IMO, just sounds so cheesy and totally lacking in any class whatsoever. Plenty of great classical tracks out there (religioius and non-religious)
Friends of ours had a 4 part harmony group singing Carpenters and Celine Dion numbers - couldn't stop sniggering and half expected Adam Sandler or Ben Stiller to appear.

I agree, go for something classy or in ten years time you might regret it (the music not the wedding LOL), if it's a civil service you cannot have anything remotely religious BTW.
Save the fun tunes for the party afterwards, my Brother and his wife had their first dance to House Of Pain - Jump Around
